THE SUSHI EXPERIENCE

Hey Everyone!

So I recently won a voucher for a Sushi place here in Abu Dhabi called Sushi Central. Even-though, I do not eat sea-food, I was quite excited to try some of the items on the menu.

My favourite part about the whole experience was the location: Formula 1 race track on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Fresh orange juice and mint lemonade

Chicken Gyoza

Shrimp Tempura

Dark Orchid (with poached chicken and cucumber inside) and Chicken teriyaki hand roll

Vegetable Udon and Chicken Yakitori

Katsu Chicken Hot Bento ( with vegetable udon, pickled radish, cucumber salad, Katsu gravy and vegetable spring rolls)

The Verdict:

Overall, I was not a fan of the food. Everything was quite disappointing flavour wise. My parents liked the shrimp tempura. The chicken dumplings were not too bad, the udon was a bit too chewy for my liking but still okay and the katsu bento box was also just fine. The spring rolls were the best as they were the only item packed with flavour. However, the dark orchid, teriyaki handroll and chicken yakitori was quite bad, bland and tasteless.

Aside from that, the restaurant did have nice ambiance; it was well lit, the staff was friendly and the view was amazing.

Overall rating: 3/10

This is not a negative review on the restaurant as a whole, just the items we tried.
